Caterina Di Cecca studied composition with Luciano Pelosi and piano with Daniela Morelli at the Conservatory of Music Santa Cecilia in Rome, graduating with distinction. She has a Master’s degree in Philosophy, magna cum laude, from the University of Rome.
She began her career as a pianist in 2005. From 2008 her focus changed to the composition of soundtracks, working with sequencers, sound libraries, and she has produced original scores for short movies and documentaries, including the award-winning ‘American Dream’ and ‘Il fascino discreto della parola’. In 2011 she was elected to be a teacher of Composition at the Conservatory of Music ‘Santa Cecilia’. Since 2012 she has studied composition with Alessandro Solbiati.
