DIVINE consists of the three opera singers Gabriella Lambert-Olsson, Caroline Gentele and Jacqueline Miura.
Each one of them has a rich history of performing at Swedish and international theatres such as the Royal Swedish Opera, Drottningholms Slottsteater, Glyndebourne Festival Opera and Théâtre du Châtelet, Covent Garden and Baden Baden.
Caroline Gentele studied at Opera Studio 67 in Stockholm from 1993 to 1997. She made her stage debut during the summer of 1994 as Barbarina in Mozart’s ”Le Nozze di Figaro” at Confidencen, Ulriksdal Palace Theatre.
Possibly her most critically acclaimed role is The Queen of the Night in Mozart’s ” Die Zauberflöte”. She has sung this role at the Ulriksdal Palace Theatre in 2000, Ystad’s Theatre, Drottningholms Slottsteater and at the Royal Opera.
At Folkoperan she has sung the roles of Barbarina in Mozarts ”Le Nozze di Figaro”, Flora in Verdis ”La Traviata” and Sivan in Sven David Sandströms opera ”Jeppe på Berget” . Caroline recieved very warm and favourable reviews for her role as Adèle the chaimber maid in Strauss’ ”Die Fledermaus” both at the Kristina Theatre Sigtuna in and touring once again with the Riksteatern.
Another role for which Caroline earned due praise was that of Madame Hertz in Mozart’s ”Der Schauspieldirektor” at Stockholmsterassen in Kulturhuset, at the Östgöta theatre in Linköping, and touring with the Riksteatern.
She has played the title role in Mozart’s Zaïde at Stockholmsterassen in Kulturhuset.
Gabriella has a Bachelor of Arts degree in History of Music and History Literature from the University of Stockholm.
She studied singing in England at The Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester, where she attained a Diploma in Advanced Studies in Musical Performance. She then went on to study at the prestigious National Opera Studio in London and completed the Intensive Postgraduate Master Course. She also studied Stage Performance/Opera at the Operastudio 67 in Stockholm.
During her studies and since, Gabriella has sung at the Royal Opera in Stockholm (chorus) Glyndebourne Festival Opera (chorus and cover) Reginateatern (soloist) Confidencen (soloist) and has also been engaged as a freelance singer in several different concerts, events and galas in Sweden, Denmark, England and Austria.
She has sung opera roles such as Jenufa, Susanna, Donna Elvira and Rosalinda.
Since 2007 Gabriella sings mostly in the opera trio Divine.
JACQUELINE MIURA started her career as a Mezzo-Soprano. Whilst studying at the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester, she made her debut in the title role of Lucretia in Benjamin Britten’s ”The Rape of Lucretia”.
Jacqueline was awarded major scholarships from the Christina Nilsson Foundation and the Swedish Musical Academy to continue her studies at the RNCM and attend masterclasses with, amongst others, Thomas Hampson and Brigitte Fassbaender.
After taking her Professional Performance Diploma, Jacqueline appeared in many important European Opera houses including, The Royal Swedish Opera (Stockholm), The Baden-Baden Festival, Opera de la Bastille (Paris), English National Opera and The Royal Opera House Covent Garden (London) in roles like Carmen, Jeanne D’Arc and Dorabella. She has performed under the baton of conductors such as Michael Tilsson Thomas, Andre Previn and Kent Nagano in performances of L’Enfant et les Sortileges (Ravel), Le Martyr de Saint Sebastien (Debussy), Bernstein’s Candide and White House Cantata.
